Complete casting has been announced for the New York premiere of Andrew Hinderaker’s Suicide, Incorporated. The Roundabout Underground production will begin performances at the company's black box theater on October 14 and open on November 2, directed by Jonathan Berry (instead of the previously announced Jason Moore). The limited engagement is set to continue through December 23.
The dark comedy will feature Mike DiSalvo (Officer), Gabriel Ebert (Jason), Corey Hawkins (Perry), James McMenamin (Norm), Toby Leonard Moore (Scott) and Jake O’Connor (Tommy).
Suicide, Incorporated is about the business of rewriting your ending. The provocative show tells the story of an unorthodox writing service that specializes in crafting the perfect suicide note. A subversive new employee is suspected of the unthinkable: Could he actually be helping his client find happiness?
DiSalvo’s stage credits include Twelve Angry Men, This Is Our Youth and The Cripple of Inishmaan. Ebert has appeared on Broadway in Brief Encounter and Red, and off Broadway in 4000 Miles and The Sacrifices. Hawkins has been seen in the independent film Recalled and New York Stage & Film’s production of Piece of My Heart. McMenamin’s off-Broadway credits include Middletown, Our Town, BFE and Mag-7. Moore has appeared in Stag, Dead Caesar and Saturn’s Return and more at Sydney Theatre Company. O’Connor’s off-Broadway credits include The Dream of the Burning Boy and Wildflower.
Suicide, Incorporated premiered in June 2010 at Chicago’s Gift Theatre, where Berry's production enjoyed a twice-extended sold-out run. The off-Broadway Suicide, Incorporated design team includes Daniel Zimmerman (sets), Jessica Wegener Shay (costumes), Zach Blane (lights) and Chad Raines (sound).
